Jody K. Sours was born in Des Moines, Iowa and grew up in Waukee, Iowa. In 2004, Jody graduated with distinction from Iowa State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering. Jody attended Drake University Law School, earning her Juris Doctorate with honors in 2009. During her time at Drake, Jody received Excellence for the Future Awards for her scholarship in both Federal Estate and Gift Tax and Federal Business Tax. She also served as a student attorney at the Drake Elder Law Clinic.
Jody was admitted to the Iowa Bar in 2009. She is a member of the Iowa State Bar Association and the Polk County Bar Association. Jody has a general practice including but not limited to Wills, Trusts, Estate Planning, Probate, Elder Law, and Real Estate.
